Pegs are an essential part of the modern day street riders BMX bike. They attach to the bike on the front or rear axle and make it possible to grind on ledges and rails. Pegs are available in predominantly two types, the first of which being Plastic. Plastic Pegs feature Nylon sleeves that slide great on all types of surface. The inner core of these pegs is still metal, with some manufacturers opting for Chromoly core others lighter weight Aluminium core's. Either way, Plastic Pegs are a great option if you don't want get to a spot and find out your pegs aren't ideal for the terrain. Because they are Plastic they won't last forever, so we sell replacement sleeves for them so you can freshen them up whenever they wear out. Some Plastic Pegs even come with a spare sleeve from the outset!

The second option would be traditional metal pegs, which come in two options themselves. Traditionally most pegs were Chromoly Steel, long lasting and great indoors or at your local outdoor park. Finally you have Alloy Pegs, devised to be super light weight and great for indoor park riders who plan to use their pegs predominantly for stalls. However Alloy Pegs do not slide as good due to the soft nature of the metal.

Finally Pegs can come in a variety of Length's, usually measured in inches. Most being between 4" and 4.75" in length. The only other thing to look out for is what Axle Size pegs you'll need. BMX axles come in 10mm (3/8") and 14mm so likewise pegs can come in these sizes too. However most Pegs today are supplied in 14mm with 10mm adapters, to save manufacturing two different sizes. Lastly Pegs are normally supplied singularly. So if you order one thats exactly what you'll get. Some manufactures still offer them as pairs however. So in the "Spec" of each peg it will say if they are supplied as Pairs or Singles to clarify.
